The host school is encouraged to send two
students to the National Association of Student
Councils (NASC) summer conference. Registration,
travel, and expenses will be paid by a loan from
AASG, which will be repaid from conference
proceeds.
One of the host school advisors for the
coming year is encouraged to attend NASC.
Registration, travel, and expenses will be paid by
AASG.
One student and his/her advisor from each
of the host schools will be liaisons to the
Executive Board. They are expected to attend the
Executive Board meetings. Their expenses will be
paid by AASG.
Host schools are expected to support
their student government advisor in planning and
implementing a successful conference. Support could
include planning time, schedule adjustments, copy
machine use, paper, postage, custodial and security
support, etc.
Appropriate housing will be provided for
all the delegates. An alternative to home stays
must be also available.
The host school agrees to follow the AASG
Conference Financial Guidelines, including
submitting a proposed balanced budget to the AASG
Administrator before incurring any expenses. All
the conference accounting will go through the ASAA
office, and will be finalized within one month
following the conference. (Financial Guidelines
available upon request.)
All students (including host school
students) and advisors are required to pay the
registration fee.
Host schools are encouraged to solicit
donations and contain costs. It is expected that
the Fall Conference will make a profit to help
offset AASG expenses. Due to its smaller size, the
Spring Conference may not make a profit. Any
deficit greater than one (1) of the NASC loans will
be paid by the host school within two (2) months of
the conference. One of the NASC loans will be
forgiven.
The conference dates will be set in consultation
with the AASG Administrator and the Executive
Board.
